The forecasters are predicting a cool change today but don't be fooled by an unfamiliar plunge to a more comfortable 26 degrees. As Sydney sweltered through another 33 degree day yesterday, skaters at the Macquarie I ce R ink pulled on the layers for a cool afternoon. The Bureau of Meteorology says a southerly change will deliver an overdue respite from the heat, with temperatures hovering around 26. But with hot air continuing to envelop the state, the cooler weather will not last. The mercury will begin creeping up tomorrow and, by Wednesday, the sweltering heat will be back, with 37 expected in the city and 39 in the west.
